Pilgrimage Day 4 · Kourion & Omodos
Early Christian Cyprus, mountain hospitality and devotion to the Holy Cross.
Discover the dayPart of our planned pilgrimage. We are refining this day with clergy, specialist guides and local partners. The spiritual shape is in place; exact timings and arrangements will be confirmed for each departure.
Faith across the centuries
Kourion rises dramatically above the southern coast. Within the ancient city, the remains of an early Christian basilica reveal how worship reshaped the civic heart of Roman Cyprus.
The route then climbs towards Omodos, a stone-built wine village gathered around the Monastery of the Holy Cross. Tradition connects devotion here with St Helena and the discovery of the True Cross.
Together these places allow us to reflect on a faith lived publicly, handed on through generations and woven into the life of a Cypriot village.

Designed around real pilgrims
The day includes archaeological surfaces, village lanes and some inclines.
Kourion is exposed, so spring and autumn departures and thoughtful timing matter.
Monastery arrangements and any restrictions are confirmed before departure.
The village is not treated as a quick photo stop; prayer and fellowship both belong here.
